All members agree that TCE cannot verify information provided by members - TCE has to rely on a person’s basic honesty and integrity when enrolling them. However, TCE reserves the right to ask for proof of a member’s identity, date of birth and marital status. TCE reserves the right to limit the number of Profile requests or to discontinue a membership at any time for any reason - misrepresentation or misconduct, etc. - by sending a refund on a pro-rata basis. All contacts and/or travel or other arrangements are made by the members themselves, based on their Listing, Profile Page information and/or letters, phone calls, meetings, references exchanged, etc. TCE cannot be held responsible for typographical or other errors on either the Mini-Listing or Profile Pages or other problems. TCE’s liability shall be limited in any case to a refund of membership fees paid. Always use your common sense. Most people are honest, but we  had a member a few years ago, the first time in 17 years, who asked for money from another member. A warning flag should go up if, for example, a member seems to become too serious too fast and asks you to send money or airline tickets. When in doubt, contact the TCE office promptly. We need ALL feedback, positive or negative. It’s the only way we can continue to operate an honorable organization. While we try to be selective in the recommendations or mentions we make in our newsletters, naturally we can’t know each airline, travel agency, cruise line, tour operator, hotel or other services listed personally. We list only firms we would not hesitate to book ourselves but cannot be held responsible for any bookings you make or any travel or booking problems which you may encounter.
